Alice N - M09C

In the book there is only one subplot, as far as I can see.
There is of course the main plot about Meredith and how she wants to be away from her father that cam out of prison three years to early, but then there is this little story about Meredith and her neighbour Andy.
Andy is a few years older than Meredith and he is her best friend (I think?).
He is paralyzed partially, from an accident that he was a part of a couple of years earlier, and because of that he's in his bed for the most of the time.
I don't know really where he's paralyzed because it's not written out clearly but I think that it's on his upper body because one time he was making out with Meredith and his "precious part" got hard.

So... The subplot then... Meredith is obviously in love with her best friend, however I don't know if he feels the same way for her. They kiss from time to time in his bed but they never go further than that, and I think that's why Meredith have doubts about Andy's feelings for her.
Their relationship is a rather big part of the book and I hope that in the end they will get together, even though I'm pretty confident right now that it's not going to happen because it's not that kind of book...
